Pet Expo Guests,
Providing a safe environment for Pet Expo attendees is our top priority. We’re closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and have established all necessary protocols in order to make the Great Iowa Pet Expo a safe event to attend on October 17 & 18.
We’re working with health officials to follow all established protocols and procedures. With that being said, exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit to the Expo.
The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus. We ask that you please evaluate your own risk when determining whether to attend. If there’s any question, please stay home! We’ll definitely be back in 2021.
Below are some of the precautionary measures that will be put into place at this year’s Great Iowa Pet Expo:
- Facemasks required!
- Wider aisles
- Directional one-way aisles
- Hand sanitizing stations
- Touchless ticketing options
- Touchless critter release forms
- Elimination of areas where people congregate
- Disinfectant of entire site both days before event begins
- CDC recommended ventilation system circulating fresh air
- Operating at 50% site capacity
- Exhibitor health audit and affidavits
